Do you charge for parents to stay and watch?
Never during regular skating sessions! We love our parents to stay!
Note: Ocassionally charitable organizations that host fundraisers at Skatetown, TX may charge every person (adult or child) that is admitted.
If my friends are coming to skate, do I need to pay if I’m only going to hang out?
Everyone entering (with the exception of parents/grandparents watching their children)must pay the applicable admission price.
Do you offer group rates?
Yes! Skatetown, TX will offer group discounted rates. You must call at least 48 hours in advance and reserve it. Call and ask for Courtney for more details.
Do you sell food?
Yes, we sell all sorts of yummy snacks in our concessions area. Please see our menu and price list for more information.
Can I bring in food from the outside?
We do not allow outside food or drink to be brought into our facility during open public sessions. The only exception would be a birthday cake if you have a confirmed booked party reservation. We do also allow outside food and drinks to be brought in for private events only!
Do you sell gift certificates?
You can purchase gift certificates and gift cards at our front counter during normal business hours. We also offer concession cards for adults to load for their children to be used only in the snack bar area. Cash is not given back after the card has been purchased. Monthly passes are also available but not valid for use on special events.
Do you have wireless internet available?
Not yet! But we are working on it!
Do you take requests for songs?
Yes, our dj at the front counter will be glad to take your request and we will make every effort to play your favorite song. Please note: We do have certain criteria it must pass for different session times. Some requests might not be appropriate for specific sessions.
What form of payment do you take?
We accept Visa, Mastercard, Discover and American Express
Cash and checks.
Can we bring our own skates and what type of rentals do you have?
Yes, you are more than welcome to bring your own skates. Please let the front counter attendant check the wheels and brakes before skating on them. We currently have new quads, inlines and “trainer” skates for rental. With sizes ranging from toddler 7 to mens 16.
If my child doesn’t skate well, can I walk on the floor to assist them?
As long as we are not too crowded, one adult is allowed to walk on the floor to assist. Please check with the front counter to see if the session allows for it. We also have Skate Mates for rent that beginner skaters can use to help them gain their balance for $3 a session.
How old do they have to be to drop them off?
We would love for the parents to stay and watch however we know that’s not always possible. We require a child to be the age of 8 and older to be left without an adult.
Can my child go outside or leave after they are dropped off?
They are not allowed to go outside for any reason without a vehicle here to pick them up if they are under the age of 18 and did not drive themselves here.
